Being a final pursuing cost accountant, inclusion of CMA in the definition of Accountant will be a value addition and we cost accountants are not below with such other courses getting the same extent of knowledge in the field of Direct Taxation in addition to other core areas like costing, financial management, GST, Coporate Financial reporting and GST. Comment regarding for conducting tax audit by CMA [ICWA] - Reason we all know CMA professional/CMA students put hard effort’s to gain complete knowledge of direct taxation in intermediate or final level which means we are well qualified for conducting tax audit as per Indian Direct Tax Law but unfortunately we can’t tax audit [ it’s kind injustice for us] so we all qualified CMA or student's raised voice for justice to conducting tax audit by us and last but not the least in India there are limited number people for doing tax audit & final conclusion from my side when we get that privilege it will helpful for Indian Government and reduced the burden for current limited number of tax auditor.
